I have a Tommie Rochelle Harrison b1873 in Lauderdale Co Ms. He married Nellie Ellen McDonald. They had Hubbert b1907, Clifford b1909, and Ossie b1911. He was also married to Catherine Essie Gibson. They had Velpean b1895, Curtis b1897, Eunis b1902. Tommie's grand children were Elsie b1921, Merle, Lorene, Kate, Herman, Clarence, Hazle, Cecil, Homer, Leland b1929, and Thomas. About 10 days ago, to investigate this, I signed up with familydiscovery. To date, I have not received a user id or password to get inside. The registered owners of the web site gave bogus telephone numbers in their registration. One number goes to a recorded message line; the other to a carpet company. Some of the e-mail adds on their web site bounce. Standing on the outside and looking through the window, it appears that several folks' web sites have been prize-mined: http://www.familydiscovery.com/whatsnew.htm The Storey Co., IA and the Washington Co., PA stuff seem to come from USGenWeb sites. Some of the other IA and NC stuff seems to come from non-USGW sites. None of the materials seem to be housed at either rootsweb or usgennet. His name was Charles J. Harrison born somewhere in New York (this was from the 1880 Census of Refugio County, Texas in the township of Saint Mary's. It is showing him as a boatman from New York and his parents were from what I can read is Mass. I believe that he had one sister but do not know her name. From the 1890/1900 mortality schedule he died in Edna (Jackson County), Texas. Any information would be great. He had a son James John, daughter (Hattie and Mollie).
