Benjamin D. Harrison b. circa 1830 MS d. between 1857 and 1865 married Sarah Ann Baxley 25 March 1849 in Coosa Alabama They had 4 children: Frank, Edmund, William and Mary I know nothing of Benjamin other than the above and somehow the Cemetery in Jefferson County Alabama, where Sarah is buried, knows that he was her husband (She remarried in 1865), perhaps it is on her stone. Their records burned in the early to middle 1900s. Anyone know anything about them? Thanks, Lois Anderson

I don't know when Nancy left Georgia. In 1860 they were living in Bankston Township, Choctaw Co. MS, 2 sons James R. Box age 4 and George W. Box age 1. They later had a daughter Susan Jane " Jennie" in 1862. John stayed at home until Jennie was born then enlisted in the Confederacy. He was captured, survived Camp Douglas and made it back home to MS. My ggrandmother Virgie Barbara Box was born in Jackson, MS 1872. John died before Virgie was born. The spring of 1872 Nancy and children moved to Hot Springs, Garland Co. AR. I do not have any information on Mel Harrison. I hope to make contact with some of her descendants to get more information on this Harrison line.

Nancy was from a family of 11 children. She was either the youngest or perhaps the youngest daughter. Had a sister named Mel. Father's name is possibly John Harrison. Census records show that her father was from SC, oral family history says he was from England. They had a cotton plantation in GA before the war. Looking for descendants of Mel Harrison that may have information on the parents and other siblings of Mel and Nancy Harrison.

New information says that 4 Harrisons brothers came to Philadelphia (in the early to mid 1700's), and from there 2 went to VA, OH and out west. Two of them remained in PA, settling in Braddock, PA, where they were boat builders. Does this sound familiar to anybody?
