    1. [HARRISON] nice reprinting: Settlers by the Long Grey Trail, by J. Houston Harrison
    2. Christopher Hartman
    3. To: Harrison Family Membership From: Christopher Hartman Good afternoon. Please pardon the unsolicited posting, but I recently acquired the following, which I thought the Harrison family membership might like to know about. I offer it as follows: HARRISON, J. HOUSTON. Settlers By the Long Grey Trail. A Contribution to the History and Genealogy of Colonial Families of Rockingham County, Virginia. Some Pioneers to Old Augusta County, Virginia and Their Descendants, of the Family of Harrison and Allied Lines. Harrisonburg, Virginia, C.J. Carrier Company, 1983. 8vo. Pp. xii, 665. Frontis. plus numerous fullpage plates, mostly views of ancestral residences. Orig. maroon cloth, spine and front cover stamped in gilt, very good. This is a reprinting of the original 1934 edition. It is very nice, serviceable and scarce. Concerns the origin of the Harrison name in Rockingham County, Virginia; and extends through Capt. Daniel Harrison, of the French and Indian War, and his family; Thomas Harrison, the founder of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and his family, and Jeremiah and Samuel Harrison, and Alexander Herring, an ancestor of Abraham Lincoln. $75.00 Delivery is complimentary. I have a web site: http://www.raregenealogies.com where you can get an idea of who I am and my stock. I must offer this subject to prior sale and if I can assist further, please advise. With appreciation for your consideration and courtesy, I am, Sincerely, Christopher Hartman Rare Genealogies Post Office Box 991015 Boston, Massachusetts 02199-1015 Tel. 781-224-9808 email: raregenealogies@hotmail.com raregenealogies@yahoo.com website: http://www.raregenealogies.com _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Hello Roger, Nathanial Harrison, sheriff of Prince George County, VA and Speaker of the VA State Senate, is lineage-linked to more than 60 generations of ancestry in the Presidential Family Forest section of the American & European Family Forest. A fully-sourced 60 generation ancestor view of him, with cousin smart selected, fills in 5,236 boxes on his chart.
