    2. Hi Patsy, Things are going well. Winter is on the way. Thanks for keeping me posted on the Cope information. I have been spending a lot of time trying to find my Harrison line. I have a Jane Jennie Harrison and Reuben Harrison that married Elizabeth Baxter who are 2nd cousins to president William Henry Harrison but can't find just how. They were all from Va. and as I look for these Harrison's I see many Balls. Maraineys and Elmina's brother Alfred Ball had a daughter Mary Jane Ball that married Nathanial Adam Harrison bn. 1822 a twin to my gg grand Jane Jennie Harrison, who married Wilson Mcmahan. Any way these twins were children of Reuben Harrison and Elizabeth Baxter. There is a sworn statement by James Lillard in the book over the Misty Blue Hills that says this Reuben Harrison is the secound cousin to the president William Henry Harrison. President William Henry had a brother named Nathanial that married a Jane. This connection would be great to find. William Henry Harrison's father was Benjamin Harrison, signer of the declaration of independence. I have more info. on these Harrison's to share if you are interested. Roger Ford

    3. Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/1017 Surname: Harrison ------------------------- Myrtle Jane Harrison (b. 8 Apr. 1874) was raised by relatives because her parents fell upon "hard times." Her father was Joseph Harrison from Michigan who married a woman from England named Margaret. That's all I have. I have found a Joseph Harrison (b. 5 Aug. 1839) from Kalamazoo, son of William "Uncle Billy" and America Harrison (first cousins). Can anyone give me evidence to either prove or disprove that these two Joseph Harrisons are the same man?

    3. Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/1014 Surname: HARRISON, PHILLIPS, SINCLAIR, BENNINGFIELD ------------------------- A new found cousin and I have broken through a wall that we thought was not breakable only to discover another. With the help of other cousins, we think we have maybe found parents for our Abel Harrison b. 1809 in NC (we believe now to be Wilkes County) who married Asseneth?. We now believe his parents to be Daniel Harrison and ?. Daniel is the son of Joseph Harrison and Druscilla Bentley Harrison of Wilkes or Wautaugha County, NC. There apparently have been extensive research back from Daniel but not much is known on Daniel. We have a letter written to Abel Harrison in River Hill, Tn Feb. 29, 1856 from Bently Harrison from Union Co. Ga. Bently is the son of Joseph and Druscilla also. In the letter he refers to Abel as "brother" and talks about moving to Tn. There were so many Joseph Harrisons in this area it is really confusing. Any speculations or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joyce Harrison of NC and Brenda Harrison Steele of Ind.

    3. I am trying to find out any information regarding Phoebe HARRISON of North Dartmouth, Mass., who would have been one of my great-grandmother's sisters. I only recently found out about her by finding a small obituary for Elizabeth Davis, another sister, tucked in my father's family Bible. I know her maiden name was Wood and her parents were William Wood and Ann Bingham; this is from my great-grandmother Esther's death certificate. . The obit was obviously undated (the back stated Friday, March 3 or 5, the year cut off) and stated Mrs. Davis was the widow of Benjamin F. Davis, she died in Providence while visiting relatives, and she was 74 years old. She was born in England and came to this country and directly to Fall River when quite young. She was survived by a son, Elmer F. Davis of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Phoebe HARRISON of North Dartmouth, Mrs. Esther Baldwin and Mrs. Sarah Aspin of this city. Since my grandmother (Esther Baldwin) was identified as a survivor and she was 66 when she died in 1916, I imagine Elizabeth was an older sister and she probably died only a few years prior to 1916. I know nothing about Phoebe Harrison, or her family. I anyone can claim, her I'd love to hear from you since I know nothing about my great-grandmother's family. Sincerely, Joyce (Parkin) Meleleu Mapleville, RI
