>>>>>>>>>>>> Hello Everyone, Just a reminder, if anyone comes across the HARRISON name anywhere in the world with the double 'S' spelling - HARRISSON - I'd be very interested. Many thanks, Peter Burfitt. >>>>>>>>>>>>
In Burke's Landed Gentry of Ireland 1958 edition, for the family Reade of Castletown, it states that George Reade of Wexford married Naomi Harrison, daughter of Henry Harrison of Castle Harrison. The only date I have is that she died July 1808. Could anyone verify this ,and also advise who her mother was. Thank you Peter Reade-Hall

"Growing Up With Tulsa" by Blanche Opal Kern Schad is now finished and online. Several photos will be added here in the next several days. Please check back often for updates to this book. Essentially all of the text is now online. Please keep in mind that I do not have any information on anyone in this book except for the ancestral Harrison lines which I will gladly share with interested parties. I hope that you will enjoy Opal's book. ~ Kathie Harrison June 20, 2003 This book has been reprinted by permission of Harry Schad, son of the author Blanche Opal Kern Schad. This book was written and self published by Blanche Opal Kern Schad of Tulsa, OK. She was a Harrison descendant and first cousin to my G-grandfather, Herman Harrison who lived in Saunders Co., Nebraska. Opal's mother Emma Justine Harrison and my GG-grandfather Richard Harrison (Cuming Co., NE) were siblings. Emma and her husband Charles Wesley Kern went from Saunders Co., NE to OK Territory in 1893 and settled in Tulsa. This is a story of the family and Opal and her older siblings and later their own families growing up with Tulsa from territorial days to statehood and through 2 World Wars, etc. Opal's son Harry of Tulsa, OK gave me permission to transcribe and put his mother's book online. It is not available, except at the Tulsa library and by Opal's immediate family. Reproduced by Kathie Harrison (Harry's second cousin twice removed). http://freepages.books.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/tulsa/index.html Always digging for my roots, Kathie Harrison Lancaster Co. Betty, I saw your msg on the Harrison list re:William Jackson Harrison, son of Thomas Harrison. My ancestor, Benjamin Harrison, b.1777,either in Bertie Co. NC or Pulaski Co. GA, had a son, Thomas,b.1797 in Pulaski Co. GA, m.1.Nancy Grice and 2. Matilda Brooks White. My ancestor is Thomas' brother, Henry Jackson Harrison, b. 1819, Pulaski Co. GA. I am looking for info on his father, Benjamin Harrison. I have only been able to get back to Benjamin and no further. Does this line happen to be yours? If so, do you have info on your Thomas' grandfather, who family legend says, was also named Benjamin Harrison. Eleanor
