My husband is Steve Harrison of Tazewell County, Virginia. We can trace and certify his ancestry back to "Sir Thomas Harrison, Knight and Mayor of Yorkshire, England". I say it like that witha bit of humor because we are hillbillies, but we do own the last piece of Harrison land in Tazewell County which was given by a land grant from the King of England. I swear that we still own it because nobody else wanted it, but it is quiet and peaceful. Feel free to e-mail us at the address given. There was also some special editions of the local paper published with a few of the early Harriston families that I read through and no mention of these names. Contact the Town of Minto (see their web site) and have them give you the name of one of the Harrisons still living in Minto Twp. - perhaps they have a more thorough tree done that would show these names.
