I can help by placing Eliza Jane Slack who married Jacob M Harris on 10-03-1833 at the Severns Valley Babtist Church at Elizabethtown, KY. During the late 1840's Jacob and Eliza moved with their children to Davis Co, IA. They have many Harris neighbors that have connections back to Hardin and Madison Co, KY. W. H. Slack brother of Eliza Jane (Slack) Harris also moved to Davis Co, IA. Refer to message #830 on the Slack family genforum. I have good documentation on Eliza Jane (Slack) Harris. Jacob M Harris on the other hand we are unable to place him into any Harris line. Jacob was born in KY on 11-04-1810. Died on 10-05-1894 recorded in death records book#2 page#63 Wapello Co, IA. Jacob's death certificate states he is buried at Eldon, IA but we have not located it or a obit. Any leads or suggestions would be appreciated.
