I am researching James H Harris and Mary Louise Clark who appear in the 1850 census in the Country Line District (Oak Hill township) of Granville County, NC as age 31 and 25. Married 11 Sep 1843 in Granville County, NC. I believe that JamesÂ’ parents are David and Sally Harris living adjacent in the 1850 census. Other children appear to be: Susan, Amy, David Jr., and Haban. Especially interested in James and Mary HarrisÂ’ son, John Calhoun Harris, who married Margaret Agnes Clark from Red Bank area of Halifax County, VA on 28 Dec 1886 in Halifax County, VA and lived in the corner of Mecklenburg County, VA, between Nelson and Virgilina.
