Many Virginia family lines moved into North Carolina, some on to South Carolina, and then spread farther out throughout the USA. I would suggest that you carefully read over all the county will abstracts. There seem to be connections between Harris' in some of the different counties (if common names are any indicator). Some of the family lines are easy to pick out (IOW line for instance), while others are harder to ascertain. Several of the names I typed today, have shown up on the HH message board within the past year. A couple of them I have never heard of.
