Sampson Lanier and his wife Elizabeth Washington had a son whom they named Sampson Lanier, Jr. Sampson Lanier, Jr. married Elizabeth Chamberlain. They, in turn, had a daughter named Rebecca Louise. Rebecca Louise Lanier married Walton Harris (b. February 6, 1738/39, Brunswick County, Virginia - d. July 20, 1809, Greene County, Georgia) They had a son, named Sampson (b.
