Southampton County Will Book 1, p. 37 John Harris and Margaret Hobbs, sister of Francis Hobbs. 1687. Will & Deed Book 2, p. 280 (His name is John Henry, or Henry John Harris) are my direct line. I suspect that Thomas Harris and ______ Edwards are too, but my dates don't match. My Thomas Harris m. Judith Edwards. Since I have both Harris and Jordan in my line, it is possible that William Harris and Mary Jordan (1790) are also there, but I've not got them. I do have a Mary Jordan, m. to Thomas Newsome, but she would have been 40 in 1790. Also a Lewis Harris, b. 1742, would fit Lewis Harris m. Sarah Thorpe, in 1771.
