Trying to connect and also find possible descendents... IRA HARRIS born VA, August 31th, 1832, died 1875, Morristown ,TN. Parents unknown. Wife MARY ANN born December 18th,1835, died 1877 Two sons- SALAMIS L. born September 24th, 1857 ,died 1888, and JAMES M., born November 25th , 1860. Living in Morristown TN, when the sons were born. Ira, Mary Ann annd Salamis buried in Old Morristown Cemetary. I am gggrandaughter of SALAMIS, through his only child, HOWARD WESLEY, 1886-1965. Howard's mother was IDA CAIN, born 1863 , to JOHN WESLEY CAIN and MINERVA WEEMS. Salamis worked at the Cain House for Ida's uncle, Colonel Tom CAIN. Would like to locate descendents of James and his wife, unknown. Have photographs of at least two children of James and other immediate family members.
