Dear Harris researchers: I would hope that no one wants to discourage the posting of the basic research information that is being posted. This is being done in a very unselfish manner and for anyone that needs this information it is absolutely wonderful. If you don't need it......hit the delete button but don't ruin this extraordinary effort for the rest of us. This information would take hours upon hours of work to gather but here it is at our fingertips, already typed in and all we have to do is hit the select all key, copy and then paste. What wonderful technology........but only because someone was willing to spend their time to type it into their computer in the first place and then send it out to us. My only regret is that I don't know if these are my Harris line or not. Maybe with the help of folks like Ira, I'll find out one of these days. Ira, I was amazed that no one added information to what you posted across Alabama and Mississippi on the Land Patents. I did wonder if you thought no one was alive and reading the material in this area. I kept thinking I would find something on my Harris family that went to Alabama and Mississippi, but no such luck. I agree wholeheartedly with Chuck Harris. Many thanks to Ira for all the sharing of important primary sources from various early Virginia counties, etc. Anyone with early Harris ancestors needs to be aware of these documents. It is time consuming to retype all of these and to send them to the list. We all appreciate the information. This has been an unselfish gift of information for all of us. Thank you, Ira.
