Ira, My notes show a possible lead on Obadiah Harris, strictly a shot in the dark. My Louisa Harris, born 1820 in Warren Co., KY, was married to a Caleb May. They moved to Postoak, Johnson Co., MO between 1830 and 1840. JohnsonCo. is not too far from Cooper Co. Louisa was a daughter of Graves Harris. There was and Obadiah who bought land in Moniteau Co. in 1840 and along with William Sensenderfer, Albert C Widdcombe, and John Harris bought land in Pettis Co in 1871. Cooper Co is in the middle of the state and Pemiscot Co is the last co before you cross into Arkansas from the Mo Boothill. The land in southern Missouri opened up first and then it spread to the NW with people coming in from the east.
