    3. Ira, You are correct. Each year for several years they have also sponsored a reunion. 3. Ira & Barbara, You are correct. For several years those of us who are descendants of West Harris, Sr. have been holding an annual reunion on the last Saturday in April. The reunion is held in Eldorado, Montgomery County, NC. The purpose of the reunion is to review and exchange information that has been found during the year following the previous reunion. When West left Virginia, he settled in the area of NC which eventually became Montgomery County. He and his son, West Harris, Jr., owned several gold mines there. West Harris, Sr. died in Montgomery County in 1795. Many of West Harris, Senior's descendants still live in the area. >From our efforts we have developed a website which you might find interesting. The website is a follows: www.freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~westharris/ When you download the website, click on "Sir William Harris"; scroll down to "Fifth Generation"; then scroll down to and click on "+36M vii West Harris, Sr." I began researching my Harris roots in 2000 and have found it both exciting and exasperating. So many Harrises with the same first name. Easy to run in circles. Good luck to both of you, James F.
