I, too am stuck. I have a Gillium that married a Harris in Cannon Co. TN. My ongoing search is John L. Harris b. 1822 VA/TN, census varies. Some people say L. stands for "Lee" which I have no documentation. He also goes by J. L. Harris. He does have a son named John Lee Harris, so I'm not counting it out. I first find him married to Sarah Bryson in 1845 Cannon Co. TN and he died there in 1913. Unfortunately records were burnt, my dad was born there in 1913 also. John L. is listed in the harrisdna.org unmatched group. Any clues will be appreciated. Thank you all.
