Thanks Ira. May I add my Jesse(e)'s to yours? Jesse Harris m. Lucy Ann Potts 1848 Wake County NC. They were still living in Wake County when the 1880 census was taken. They had six children living with them,including my gggrandfather,Daniel. The man that I think might be his father(I have no proof,just family stories that are vague)is Jesse(e) Harris 2d,born 1760 in NC,who was a pvt in the Rev War. Per DAR he died 1872 in Tenn. His wife's name is listed as Cynthia. When I questioned his longevity I was advised by the DAR that if I think this is an error,I should submit proper documentation proving the correct date of death.
