Source: Evansville Courier & Press Steven Ray Harris, 55, of Evansville, died at his home on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, of cancer. Steve was born on November 1, 1948, in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and a life member of the VFW Charles Denby Post 2953. He married the former Cheryl Ritzel on October 30, 1976. Until his illness, Steve worked at Multiseal Inc. He formerly worked at Tri- State Brake & Driveline Inc. and at Steller Molding (Faultless Rubber). Steve was an outdoorsman. He and Cheryl enjoyed fishing and spending time at their river camp. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, and he enjoyed watching football and IU basketball. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Cheryl; and his son, Steven Ray Harris Jr. and family of Pensacola, Florida. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, Franklin & Heidelbach, the Rev. Theodore Tempel officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
