I am looking for information on the parents and grandparents of my ggrandfather, James Benjamin Harris. He was born in approximately 1859 in Marshall County, Illinois. His death certificate list his fathers name as Joe Harris. I have note been able to find any information about him until his marriage in 1884 to Anna Elizabeth Jeffries. The marriage took place in Pike County, Missouri. I found a James Benjamin Harris who moved to Illinois from New York in the 1820s. That James Benjamin had a brother Joe. But I haven't been able to establish any connection. Any ideas will be appreciated. James Harris
