Has anyone run into a John Franklin Harris b 5 Nov 1855 (on tomb stone) in Barry Cem. Platte Co. MO. His death year is wrong on the stone, so this date could be wrong too. He married Flora Thornhill. He was age 34 then, so he could have been married before. He had 5 children by Flora, Barbara Ann, Pearl, Bessie, Dolly Mae and Howard Bailey, Howard was born in Parksville MO in 1899, the last child. It is possible that John is the son of Benjamin Franklin Harris and Barbara Sutton. Who lived in Platte Co. MO, and later moved to the adjoining county of Buchanan. They had a son John of the right age, but I have not located any documentation that proves he is John Franklin. John died in 1906. This distinguishes him from another John Franklin Harris who lived in the adjoining Clay Co. who died in the 1880's. They were both born about the same time. I spent a lot of time making sure they were not the same person. I have been up against this wall for about 20 years, so any help would be most appreciated. Keep up the great work Ira.
