pat again, thanks for the info you posted re this 1750 dodson survey for my william harris, sr/ frances goode and his father, who is definitely indicated to have been william harris/ judith hudson and who were the only william harrises who would have been in this same lunenburg co, va/ halifax co, va area when this survey was made and who were in cornelius cargill's district, again, along with my mackerness goode, sr, etc, per the 1749 lunenburg co, va tithe list. i am going to come back and talk myself some more about this info but i want to make a correction or a clarification per the following deed you cited. per this deed, re thomas finney to my william harris, sr/ frances goode, this should read formerly marable's overseer not marvills. p. 24 2 oct 1746 Surv.d S.W. Thomas Finny enters 400 acres of land on the Head Branches of the Bear Br. transferr’d to Wm. Harris formerly Marvills overseer Entry record book 1737-1770: land entries in the present Virginia counties of Halifax, Pittsylvania, Henry, Franklin and Patrick Marian Dodson Chiarito 1984 (Bear Branch is a tributary to Wynns Creek) again, it was my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who had the agreement with william marable re his plantation, finneywood, wherein my william harris, sr/ frances goode acted as the overseer for marable for several years and apparently as a young man and before he began to acquire land there on his own per patents, etc. again, a suit ensued re my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william marable and my mackerness goode, sr; samuel goode, who was the brother-in-law of my william harris, sr/ frances goode, etc, gave depositions re this suit. again, this was my mackerness goode, sr's son, samuel goode, and brother-in-law of my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who married jemimiah davenport, daughter of joseph davenport of lunenburg co, va/ granville co, nc, who moved to newberry co, sc. again, per the laurens co, sc grants which i have posted several times now, a tax/ memorial had to be paid on these grants in charleston. again, joseph davenport paid for and signed for my mackerness goode, sr's 100 acre laurens co, sc grant. again, cornelius cargill, son of john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley paid for my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers 150- acre laurens co, sc grant. again, my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers and his uncle samuel goode, along with sarah, widow of the same cornelius cargill, paid the security re cornelius cargill's estate in 1780 in this 96th dist/ laurens co, sc area. again, these were the same families, including the hans hendrick family and wynn family, per the info i just posted, involved with my harris and goode family in this same lunenburg/ halifax cos, va area, who continued to be involved with them in laurens co, sc. again, i have more to say about these connections and info later. belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8---------26910
