About Dabney Harris of Virginia and North Carolina [DNA group # 6]: Our Dabney Harris, was the son of Christopher Harris [Madison Co, KY] and Mary Dabney of Albemarle Co, VA [proven per will of Cornelius Dabney], researched by direct descendants of Dabney Harris, namely; Lillian Densley, Ellen Radford, Cathea Curry, and Ralph Harris, DNA group # 6 Dabney Harris, wife Mary, and their family lived in Surry/ Wilkes Counties, NC during the known years of 1782-1797, then moved back and forth to Washington County, VA where Dabney Harris died in 1810. Benjamin Harris, Mary "Polly" Harris-Roy, Christopher Harris, and Dabney Harris, Junior have been proven by our research to be the children of Dabney and Mary Harris. The aforementioned children all removed to Pulaski County, KY and lived near one another. Our research also suggests other children of Dabney Harris "may have been", Silas Harris of Surry Co, NC, Sarah Harris-Austin and Isabella Harris-Musick, [more research is needed to either "rule in or rule out" these three "suspected children"].
