    1. [HARRIS-HUNTERS] Dabney Notes from Edward Pleasants Valentine Papers
    2. To those Harris-Hunters and descendants of Madison Co., KY who think they may have connections to the Dabney family [of Huguenot origin]. This is to notify you that if you have access to Ancestry.com through your local library--or perhaps your personal subscription--the several volumes of the Edward Pleasants Valentine Papers have been incorporated. His abstracts are generally of families of colonial Virginia--who may have been collaterals of some of your Virginia families. Take a look, if you can. My understanding is these pages concerning Dabney family appear: Vol. I - pages 396-429 Also a later volume [not identified by me yet] Pages 2254-2256, the latter being taken from St. Peter's Parish Vestry Book, New Kent Co., VA Also, if you have access to the online genealogical database HeritageQuest through your local [or nearby or State] library the several volumes of Edward Pleasants Valentine papers also appear there. Here is a *copy and paste* I took from the latter source. If Dabneys do not interest you, perhaps other surnames will. Oh, yes - I have a few notes on these surnames in Granville Co., NC, colonial times. Langston, Satterwhite A few notes on Womack of colonial Goochland Co., Henrico Co. and I believe of Cumberland Co., VA.
