i have a lot to say even about this first deed wherein lydall bacon sold land to daniel claiborne and the connections that stem from lydall bacon, etc. Deed Book III:80 13 Dec 1751. Lyddall BACON to Daniel CLAIBORNE of King William Co., 150, 300 acres in Lunenburg, bounded by north side of Couches Crk. Wit: Peter FOUNTAINE Jr., John BACON, Drury ALLEN. per this first deed wherein lydall bacon sold land to daniel claiborne, which was witnessed by john fontaine, jr, again, this was lydall bacon's daughter lucy bacon, who married charles allen, jr, and they were the parents of mary/ polly allen who married in laurens co, sc our john l. harris, brother of my charles harris/ jane cannon, sons of my william harris, jr/frances rodgers, who died in 1799 in laurens co, sc, son of my william harris, sr/ frances goode of lunenburg co, va. again, charles allen, jr had also moved to laurens co, sc by 1774 and he sold his grant there in laurens co, sc to nehemiah franks. this was the same nehemiah franks who had also been on twitty's creek in lunenburg/ charlotte co, va and who was involved there also with edward harris, sr and his sons. of course, again, these were also edward harris, sr's sons, stephen harris and edward harris, jr, who also moved to laurens co, sc and, again, descendants of edward harris, sr are a harris dna group 8 match. again, per the laurens co, sc deeds, and all of this i have posted in the past, james mc laughlin witnessed laurens co, sc deeds re nehemiah franks and this was james mc laughlin's son, john mc laughlin who married our sarah goode harris ca 1798 in laurens co, sc and who was the sister of my charles harris/ jane cannon; our john l. harris/ mary/ polly allen. again, lydall bacon witnessed young stokes 1769 lunenburg co, va will and he was the father of sylvanus stokes, who died in pittsylvania co, va, and it was his son allen stokes/ martisha may, who witnessed and proved samuel harris/ lucy camp's 1799 pittsylvania co, va will. in regard to peter fontaine, jr, he was also involved with the same robert wooding, who was also involved with my william harris, sr and william harris, jr per this 1750 dodson survey for this land on wynn creek, which is now in halifax co, va. again, robert wooding also witnessed anumber of these other lunenburg co, va deeds re my william harris, sr/ frances goode, including one of these deeds re this same wynn creek land my william harris, sr/ frances goode sold to john camp. again, it is this 1750 dodson survey for this land on wynn creek that definitely shows that willliam harris/ judith hudson was the father of my william harris, sr/ frances goode. william hudson, son of peter hudson, sr, who was also the father of judith hudson harris, sold land to peter fontaine, sr or jr per the following deed. lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 315, 1758, william hudson of lunenburg co, va to peter fontaine of hanover co, va for 100 pds, 400 acres on the north side of the staunton river and upper side of buffalo creek, being part of a tract of 3, 280 acres of land granted to peter hudson, sr, decd, august 24, 1754 and bounded by peter fontaine, new lines, benasas branch. signed: william hudson, his mark. no witnesses. again, this is indicated to have been the same william hudson, who my william harris, sr/ frances goode sold land to in this same middle fork of the bluestone creek area. again, this is also indicated to have been the same william hudson, who, as shown, was the son of peter hudson, sr, who was also one of the executors of william harris/ judith hudson's 1778 mecklenburg co, va will; the same william hudson, whose daughter ursula married james poole in 1782 in mecklenburg co, va and who moved with her father, william hudson, also to laurens co, sc. again, all of this i have talked about and posted previously. as indicated, per the following/ next deed, clement reade sold land to leonard claiborne, jr and per this deed also, to follow, both clement reade, sr and jr and paul carrington witnessed the following lunenburg co, va deed re my william harris, sr/ frances goode to gray briggs. Deed Book IV:534 4 Aug 1757. Clement READ to Leonard CLAIBORN Jr. of Dinwiddie Co., 5, 100 acres in Cumberland Parish in Lunenburg, being part of the land CLEMENT purchased of Robert BOWEN. No witness. lunenburg co, va deed book 6, page 216, sept 3, 1760, william harris and wife, frances, to gray briggs, attorney, for 200 pds 400 acres on middle fork of bluestone creek, patent to brunskill. wit: clement reade, jr; p. carrington; clement reade. frances, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower. lunenburg co, va deed book 6, nov 5, 1760, page 260, gray briggs of dinwiddie co, va to william harris of lunenburg for 200 pds, 400 acres on both sides of the middle fork of the bluestone creek, which land was conveyed by lunenburg co, va deed sept 3 in the year aforesaid by the said william harriss to the said gray briggs. no witnesses. again, gray briggs was the son of howell briggs/ lucy gray and, again, per the following info, this was his sister, mary briggs, who married in 1757 in sussex co, va a younger halcott pride than the halcott pride, who was the first husband of martha, who re-married peter hudson, sr ca 1723 in henrico co, va and, of course, peter hudson, sr was the father of judith hudson harris.
