i have talked previously on harris hunters about the significant connections john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley and the cargills had with my harris and goode family there in this lunenburg/ halifax cos, va as well as on into laurens co, sc. now, i also want to talk about the significant connections re the walker family, again, both there in this lunenburg co, va area and on into laurens co, sc re my harris family, etc. i have been trying to get this all together and to talk about all of this on harris hunters for some time now but it is all very involved and entails such a lot both in terms of things i have talked about in the past and still want to talk about that i am having a difficult time in totally organizing and getting it together to talk about. so, i am going to go ahead and start putting this info on harris hunters and talk about things and apologize that i do not have all of this as organized and "all-together" as i would like. one of the appraisers of my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers 1800 laurens co, sc estate sale was sylvanus walker, jr. he was the son of silvanus walker, sr of laurens co, sc, who had been called sylvanus walker, jr in lunenburg co, va, but he was the son of tandy walker/ judith said to have been a langford, who both died 1750/ 1752 in lunenburg co, va. tandy walker's brother sylvanus walker had also moved to lunenburg co, va and he was called sylvanus walker, sr there. he died, per the info, in 1785 in mecklenburg co, va. the only one of tandy walker/ judith langford's children old enough to ask for his own guardian was their son sylvanus walker, who, again, was called sylvanus walker, jr and who asked that memucan hunt be his guardian. then, this sylvanus walker, son of tandy walker/ judith langford, named his son memucan walker after his guardian memucan hunt. memucan walker moved with his father sylvanus walker, jr in lunenburg co, va, who became sylvanus walker, sr in laurens co, sc and his brother sylvanus walker, jr, also to laurens co, sc. besides the fact that sylvanus walker, jr was one of the appraisers of my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers 1800 laurens co, sc estate, these laurens co, sc deeds and records, which i will cite, show that memucan walker witnessed a number of laurens co, sc deeds re our patrick and ann harris cunningham and, in fact, memucan walker witnessed patrick cunningham's 1796 laurens co, sc will. again, ann harris cunningham b ca 1747 in va, which would have been in lunenburg co, va, wife of patrick cunningham, is definitely indicated to have been the sister of my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers born ca 1746/ 1748, children of my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who were in lunenburg co, va by 1746. again, these connections re the walkers and these same families, which, of course, included my/ our harris family, is a lot more involved period and i consider these connections to be very relevant and significant, which, again, is why i would like to post and talk about them on harris hunters. in looking at the info on the walkers, there seems to be some confusion as to who sylvanus walker, son of tandy walker/ judith langford married. some of the info says that he married sarah blagrave, who was the sister of anna blagrave who married jeremiah glenn. again, it was jeremiah glenn/ anna blagrave; micajah smithson; and john marable, who witnesses the 1765 mecklenburg co, va deed wherein my william harris, sr/ frances goode sold land on the middle fork of the bluestone creek to james hall. again, james hall also moved to and died in edgefield co, sc and he was involved there with the same burt family, who also were involved there in edgefield co, sc with my same goode family and, again, matthew burt had also moved there from lunenburg co, va. again, this was james hall's son-in-law richard winn, who was involved with the ca 1796 mecklenburg co, va estate of judith hudson harris and, again, these connections re james hall and his uncle stephen evans, sr with my harris and goode family in lunenburg co, va are also a lot more involved. jeremiah glenn/ anna blagrave also moved to laurens co, sc and their son william glenn was involved there with my charles harris/ jane cannon per laurens co, sc deeds i have also posted in the past. other of the info also says that sylvanus walker, son of tandy walker/ judith, married sarah hogan cargill. i know that sylvanus walker, sr's wife's name in laurens co, sc was sarah but i do not know whether she was a cargill or a blagrave but what i do know is that, again, these were the same cargill and walker families significantly involved with my harris and goode families, etc, not just there in lunenburg co, va, but also on into laurens co, sc and these connections are a lot more involved and entail a lot more which i am also going to talk about. first i am going to cite these laurens co, sc deeds and, then, come back and talk about or elaborate on these connections. to be continued: belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8--------26910
