    1. [HARRIS-HUNTERS] re carol's thomas harris; robert harris, sr and jr, etc part two
    2. again, as shown and cited previously, there were two robert harrises, who obtained patents in 1745 in amelia, now prince edward co, va and who are shown to have been involved with carol's thomas harris and other of our captain thomas harris' harris family there.    the info definitely indicates to me that these were the same robert harris/ elizabeth poore and his son robert harris/ elizabeth morris, who kathryn wiggins identifies in her geneagraph as robert harris, sr and his son robert harris, jr, and, who, again, were the same robert harris, sr and jr, who were also involved with carol's thomas harris and who wiggins' say, per her geneagraph, were the son and grandson of edward harris, brother of our william harris/ mary giles.   here are the patents again:    ROBERT HARRIS, 400 acs. Amelia Co. on the S side of the North fork  of  Falling Cr., adj. Randolph & Harden; 1 Aug 1745, p. 335. 2 Pounds     ROBERT HARRIS, 400 acs. Amelia Co. on the S side of Appamattox Riv.,   adj. Henry Chiles; 1 Aug 1745, p. 346. 2 Pounds   as shown, it was this robert harris with the patent on falling creek, adjacent randolph and harden, who sold the land to carol's thomas harris.   it was the robert harris, who had the patent on the south side of the appomattox river who sold his land to this harrison harris.   again, wiggins in her genegraph says that harrison harris was also the brother of this robert harris, jr, sons, again, of this robert harris, sr, son of our edward harris, brother of our william harris/ mary giles.   as shown, carol also indicated her interest in these robert harrises earlier but, again, except for kathryn wiggins' geneagraph, no other info had come to light to indentify these robert harrises until pat posted the info re the appraisement of this isaac morris' estate by robert harris; thomas poore; and robert depriest.   From: Carol E Barron < [email protected]> Subject: Re: [HARRIS-COLVA] Harris: Cavaliers & Pioneers, Vol. V, 1741-1749: Amelia Co. Robert Harris Date: Sat, 7 Jun 2003 23:29:04 -0500 Ira: 1) ROBERT HARRIS, 400 acs. Amelia Co. on the S side of the North fork of Falling Cr., adj. Randolph & Harden; 1 Aug 1745, p. 335. 2 Pounds On 23 Jun 1748 Robert sells the above land to: Thomas Harris of St. Martins Hanover buys for 25 pounds 400a (south side of North Fork of Falling Creek Amelia Co. adjoining Randolph & Hardin) from Robt. Harris, St. Martins Hanover. Wit: George Harris, Stephen Harris, Harrison Deprieart (DePriest). This tract later falls in Prince Edward Co. (Amelia Deed Bk 3, p92 dtd 23 Jun 1748) Note: This is either the father of my Thomas Harris, Jr. or my Thomas himself--more likely the father. In 1763, Thomas Harris, Jr. and wife, Saborey (Sabra) of Louisa Co., Va sell 400a tract for 70 pounds (south side of North Fork of Falling Creek) in Prince Edward to Robt Harris of Hanover. Sabra could not attend to relinquish dower rights so Wm Johnson and Nicholas Johnson, Justices of the Peace of Louisa Co. went there to do it for her. (Prince Edward Deed Bk 2, p16 dtd 16 May 1763) Note: This is my Thomas Harris. 2) ROBERT HARRIS, 400 acs. Amelia Co. on the S side of Appamattox Riv., adj. Henry Chiles; 1 Aug 1745, p. 346. 2 Pounds On 23 Jun 1748 Robert Harris sells the above land to: Harrison Harris buys 400a Amelia Co. S side of Appamattox Riv. adj. Henry Chiles 23 Jun 1748 (Amelia Deed Bk 3, p 94) Thank you so much, Ira, for these postings--I'm starting to see these lines a little more clear now. Also, these postings will make it so much easier to organize by given name, county, etc. and file them separately.
