I have a couple of bits of Mumford /Marable information. When we lived in CT there were Mumfords, Monros and Harrises buried near each other in Ye Olde Burying Ground in New London. My Claiborne's son was Mumford Monroe Harris. These graves in CT dated into the late 1600's and early 1700's. There were other family names i.e. Samuel and Sarah (my name) on the Harris stones. This leads me to wonder if my Claiborne's ancestors came from Ct. I have not been able to find a connection since there is a lot of time between when he was born (maybe 1760-65) and those early graves. Also after my Claiborne Harris got to the Dickson/Montgomery County TN area between 1807 and the mid 1820's I believe there were Marables living in that area also. My Claiborne lived near some McFalls and I found a McFall road in the Yellow creek area of Dickson/Montgomery Co., TN I will have to look this up but I believe that Marables worked on the road with Claiborne and his sons.
