The Mumford name certainly seems significant , altho it is spelled Munford in some places. It is used as a given name by some of my distant relatives on the Medlock side, ie Mumford DeJarnette. Also of interest to me is the Estes name as one of my cousins married an Estes girl and one of their sons was named Estes Bozeman. Small world,huh. My Medlocks were from VA,SC, AL and my Bozemans from GA,Fl, and points west. Of course I am still pursuing the elusive Levi Harris who married Dorothy Bozeman in Jefferson territory, Fl. in 1831.
