these are deeds from the captain thomas harris book, which were posted earlier on our harris group 8 forum also re the robert harrises and these patents but, again, they were not identified. again, there are the two patents and the two apparent robert harrises, who obtained these patents in 1745 in amelia, now prince edward co, va, and both are shown to have had connections with our captain thomas harris' harris line and family and mainly with carol's thomas harris and/ or this harrison harris. again, one patent in 1745 was for the robert harris for the land on falling creek in amelia, now prince edward co, va, who is now indicated to me to be this robert harris, sr/ elizabeth poore and, again, it was this robert harris, sr, who sold this patent land to carol's thomas harris. again, carol's thomas harris sold this land back either to this same robert harris, sr or to his son, robert harris, jr, who, then, sold this same land to stephen davis. these deeds have been posted a number of times now recently and i will not repost for now but, again, as shown, these deeds were also witnessed by the depriest family. then, there is also the 1745 patent for the robert harris for the 400 acres also in amelia, now prince edward co, va, adjacent henry chiles and this robert harris is indicated to me to have been robert harris, jr/ elizabeth morris, daughter of this isaac morris and who was the son of robert harris, sr and his wife, elizabeth poore, daughter of this thomas poore. as stated, per the deed below this robert harris, jr sold this land to harrison harris, who wiggins in her geneagraph says was his brother, again, sons of this robert harris, sr. someone in our harris dna group 8 has already pointed out errors in the book, which i will not go into but, again, i have said a number of times that the info in it does not exactly agree with my own research. here again, though, are these amelia/ prince edward co, va patents and deeds for the robert harrises. 1 August 1745, patent book 22, page 355. £2 Robert Harris, 400 acres Amelia County on the south side of the North fork of Falling Creek, adjacent Randolph and Harden. (Cavaliers and Pioneers, volume 5 page 90) +23 Jun 1748 Robert Harris of Saint Martin Parish Hanover County to Thomas Harris of same county and parish, for £25, 400 acres on south side of the north fork of Falling Creek, bounded by: Randolph’s line, Hardon’s line, down fork. Robert Harris Witnesses: George Harris, Stephen Harris, Harrison Deprieart / Depriest (Amelia County Deed Book 3, page 92) +1 Aug 1745, patent book 22, page 346, £2 Robert Harris, 400 acres Amelia County on the south side of Appomattox River , adjacent Henry Chiles. (Cavaliers and Pioneers, volume 5, page 91) 23 June 1748 Robert Harris of Hanover Co. to Harrison Harris of aforesaid County for £22 , 400 acres in Amelia County on the south side of Appomattox River, bounded by Henry Child’s (Chile’s) line. Robert Harris Witnesses: George Harris, Stephen Harris, Thomas Harris (Amelia County Deed Book 3, page 94-95) per info carol posted, and i do not think i have a copy of this deed, the land that robert harris sold to harrison harris was later sold to lewis harris and giles harris, sons of david harris/ jane landy richardson. i also think that because of this sale re harrison harris to the sons of david harris that it has been thought that this harrison harris was the brother of david harris but the earliest, and it would seem more significant connection, is harrison harris' connection with robert harris, who, again, is indicated to me to have been his brother, robert harris, jr. again, the earliest connection indicates/ shows that this robert harris, jr sold his patent land to his brother harrison harris, who, as wiggins says in her geneagraph were the sons of this robert harris, sr. again, this is info carol had also posted earlier re this same harrison harris. Harrison Harris of Louisa/Goochland Counties had a dau. Mourning m a William Adams. Another one of Harrison's dau. Mary Elizabeth m Wm Randolph Hicks 1778 Goochland. Harrison sold in 1765 his Prince Ed. Co. land to Giles & Lewis Harris. i also have more to say about this harrison harris to follow. to be continued: belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8-------26910
