In reply to E W about my posting on my Kentucky Harris line. First of all, my records are a complete mess!! When I first was bitten by the genealogy bug more than 40 years ago, all my research was done at the McClung Collection in my public library iin Knoxville, Tennessee. And certainly as a novice, so many and most times, I did not site my source of information. Today, this is most apparent as I try to look back and see exactly when my George Harris (b 1750-1755) migtated to Kentucky. He is in the 1810 Warren Co census and his daughter Sarah married Charles Epperson in Lincoln Co KY Jan 13, 1807. Eppersons and Hollands are in the 1810 Warren census. According to my records and the records of the late Paul Dafft, George's daughter, Elizabeth Dickson Harris married Major William Holland Oct 9, 1802 in VA (Louisa, I think). Daughter Frances married Hezekiah Holland, no marriage date. George O Harris Jr (my line) married Elizabeth Holland Apr 5 1813 in Warren Co. So I think by the date of the Harris daughter to Charles Epperson that we can say that they were in Kentucky by 1802.
