recently i had an email from bill brandon, who descends from john cawthon, who married agnes harris stated to have been the daughter of this william harris of louisa/ goochland cos, va.   again, it was this william harris, who our edward harris, son of our william harris/ mary giles, sold the 50 acres to in louisa co, va which this william harris/ mary, then, sold to charles rice.   bill brandon also cited to me the work written in the past by this william taylor of lyme, ct, and i think also by malcom hart harris, etc, stating that this william harris of goochland co, va was the son of our william harris/ mary giles.   i told bill what i have told all of you for quite some time now  on harris hunters  that this is not what my harris research on my/ our specific harris line and family shows or what our harris dna confirms.   again, my william harris, sr/ frances goode of lunenburg co, va is shown to have been the son of my/ our william harris/ judith hudson also of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va.   i also suggested to bill, which, again, is also what this info indicates to me, that his william harris of louisa/ goochland cos, va  and whose daughter agnes harris married his john cawthon, was the son of edward harris, brother of our william harris/ mary giles.    again, given his william harris' association with the cawthons, who, again, are shown by the records of new kent/ hanover cos, va to have been more involved there with edward harris; george alvis; his son, david alvis, and the crenshaws would certainly indicate this.   i also learned something from bill that i did not know.  he stated that his john cawthon/ agnes harris had moved to granville co, nc.   now i do not know of any connections per se with my william harris, sr/ frances goode or william harris/ judith hudson with granville co, nc but there are connections re the lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va families with the granville co, nc familes.    for example, memucan hunt, who had a patent with samuel harris there in lunenburg co, va and who was the same samuel harris involved there with my william harris/ judith hudson and my william harris, sr/ frances goode, moved to granville co, nc and became the first state treasurer of north carolina.   again, this was also the same samuel harris, who became col samuel harris and also the noted baptist minister rev samuel harris.   info written about the grassy creek baptist church in granville co, nc states that this richard harris and charles harris, who were members of the grassy creek church, were brothers of rev samuel harris, who had preached at this grassy creek baptist church there in granville co, nc.   again, i cannot confirm this info.   again, as i have also talked about and cited a number of times, this same richard palmer involved with our harris family on cubb creek in louisa co, va, including with david harris/ jane landy richardson, also moved to lunenburg co, va and  witnessed lunenburg co, va deeds there re  both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william harris/ judith hudson.   richard palmer is also shown to have had connections with the granville co, nc families.   again, this was also my mackerness goode, sr's son samuel goode, who married jemimah davenport whose father joseph davenport was also in granville co, nc and, again, there are also connections re the davenports and satterwhites there in granville co, nc also with the families in lunenburg co, va.   again, i have also cited in the past that, per the lunenburg co, va records, both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william harris/ judith hudson, along with either john wilborn or stephen evans, were to value the land of daniel williams in lunenburg co, va.   this was the same daniel williams, wife, ursula, who moved to and died in granville co, nc and their children: col james williams and mariah williams goodman, who also moved to laurens co, sc and who were also involved with my/ our harris family there.   one of the witnesses to daniel william's granville co, nc will was this luke waldrop.  per a laurens co, sc deed in 1774, my william harris, jr sold his original 1772 150-acre grant to michael waldrop, who was related to this luke waldrop.   so, there are relevant connections, as i say, re the lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va families with the families in granville co, nc, etc, and, again, it was interesting to learn from bill that his john cawthon/ agnes harris had moved to granville co, nc.   to be continued:   belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8--------26910
