Hi Pat The Edward I found in Kentucky (who was grandfather to Charles P Harris' wife Carrie) was born in SC ~1790. I wonder if he was the son of the Edward and Sally mentioned in the post you sent to me? If so that would link this Wooldridge line to the (well-researched) line starting in America with John the blacksmith. Thanks for the tidbit! I also found a link to a Rev War pension application transcribed by Leon Harris and he and I are trying to figure out (1) if there is a link and (2) why he transcribed it (he is trying to figure out if he knew of a harris connection).
