I'm interested in the Thomas Harris (abt 1676-1749) of Currituck, Perquimans, Carteret and Hyde counties, (changing boundaries I think), North Carolina line--m Ellender or Elender. Their son Thomas, his son Ezekiel, his son Isaiah, his son Nathan, and his son Alvin, who was my great-great grandfather. I've been working on this line off and on for about 40 years. They were Quakers at one time, and I keep wondering if there's some connection with Thomas Harris (abt 1586) of Curles who seems to have a Quaker connection . And then there was Thomas Harris (d bef 1675 I think) who married Diana Manners in North Carolina--the proximity seems a clue, but I don't know where he was born. Also, do any of you know of any more information on the Robert Harris-Mary Rice Claibourne connection that was called into doubt? And was that same Robert Harris the son of William Harris and Ellen Burrows, or the son of John Harris and Dorothy Calcott? For some reason I'm confused about that. Thank you for any information-- Michal Anna Collins
