eleanor   we have been out of town but, no, sorry to say, i do not know more about the  sherwood harris who was associated with leonard henley bullock.    yes, this would have been the same leonard henley bullock, who was the  brother of my nathaniel bullock/ mary hawkins.   my own focus for the past 25 to 30 years has been on my own harris line and family, starting with them in gwinnett/ dekalb cos, ga in 1830 but who were shortly in cobb co, ga by 1834 and settling in paulding co, ga by 1840.   this has been such a challenge that i have not focused exclusively on other  of my lines and families and have had help with other lines, like my allen  and bullock families.   it was also not until i had gotten my william harris, sr/ frances goode back to  lunenburg co, va that i learned and noted that there were connections with  the granville co, nc families and the lunenburg co, va families but, again, i  have not focused per se on granville co, nc and still do not know for sure if  there is kinship re the granville co, nc harris family and my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who were in lunenburg co, va, by 1746.   again, kathryn wiggins in her geneagraph, which she compiled in the 1980's  re the genealogy of the family of our captain thomas harris, says that this  richard harris/ sarah, who was born ca 1694 and who she says was the brother of william harris/ judith hudson; david harris/ jane landy richardson; stephen harris; george harris; edward harris;  etc, was the father of richard harris/ margaret kimbrough, who may or may not have been the same as richard harris/ priscilla holmes; sherwood harris/ jane hudspeth; and robert harris/ lemender smith.   although i cannot confirm what kathryn wiggins wrote in this geneagraph, i have already talked about that these were the same mitchell; davenport; and taylor families both in lunenburg co, va and granville co, nc and that this was the same joseph davenport, who had moved from granville co, nc to newberry co,sc and who was the father-in-law of our samuel goode,  brother of my frances goode harris, children of my mackerness goode, sr also of lunenburg co, va and laurens co, sc.   i also have more to say about these granville co, nc/ lunenburg co, va connections re the harris families, etc, later.   pat replied recently that a supposed or proposed descendant of both richard harris/ priscilla holmes and robert harris/ lemender smith had been tested but with no matches.   so, again, besides other descendants of william harris/ judith hudson, i am hopeful that eventually we can also find other harris descendants of this richard harris/ margaret kimbrough and/ or richard harris/ priscilla holmes; sherwood harris/ jane hudspeth; and this robert harris/ lemender smith to also be tested.   logic says to me in looking at these connections, and from what we do know, that they probably should test into either our harris dna group 8 or harris dna group 6, but like a lot of this confusion and controversy we are having with our harris dna group 6 and harris dna group 8, this is not going to be resolved until we can hopefully find other harris descendants of the aforementioned to be tested.       belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8-------26910
