pat   this is very interesting.     i remember in our corresponding early on that you mentioned someone had tested, who had thought they were a match with our harris dna group 8 but, then, did not match, but i do not remember your saying exactly what the info was on that person and/ or going into any of the details.   so, again, this is interesting to learn that this was someone who had, like my own harris and goode families, some connections also to this same satterwhite; davenport; mitchell, etc families with connections, again, to this same lunenburg co, va area.   as we know, info on these family tree rootsweb sites is not always accurate and i find that the info re this john harris/ rachel milly kittrell have that he was born from a range of dates from ca 1720 to ca 1755.   also, most of these if they give a father for this john harris, they have it was richard harris/ margaret kimbrough and not richard harris/ priscilla holmes.   per the info, there is said to have been a granville co, nc deed wherein richard harris/ priscilla holmes gave land to their son, john harris.    does anyone have a copy of this granville co, nc deed?    in order for this richard harris/ margaret kimbrough, who may  have been the same richard harris, who married priscilla holmes; this sherwood harris/ jane hudspeth; robert harris/ lemender smith to have been the sons of this richard harris/ sarah b ca 1694, said by wiggins to have been one of the 8 sons of our william harris/ mary giles, they would have to have been born no earlier than ca 1714, etc.   so, someone born as early as 1720 would have been more the age of richard harris/ priscilla holmes or richard harris/ margaret kimbrough, etc, and not the age to have been a son of richard harris/ priscilla holmes.   however, these connections that this was the same bartlett satterwhite, who was the brother-in-law of my/ our samuel goode, whose granddaughter  elizabeth glover  married this william harris are definitely interesting.   in fact, besides my harris and goode connections also re the satterwhites and joseph davenport, etc, i also have connections also re this same wiley glover re my same, related bullock family as well.   also, per info i have noted, some of these same families also moved to benton/ calhoun/ cleburne co, al, which is also interesting as my arch harris/ elizabeth carter sold his land in 1852 in paulding co, ga and moved to benton/ cleburne co, al where he died there in 1869.   i agree with you we need to find other harris descendants of richard harris/ margaret kimbrough and/ or richard harris/ priscilla holmes as well as this robert harris, wife, lemender, etc, to also participate in the harris dna project.   to be continued:     belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8-------26910
