Dear Ms. Wallace, As I have mentioned before, "Overton" was also a frequent given name in my Harris family of Georgia (descendants of John Harris died 1826 and his wife Mary Fielder). It is the most common given name in that family. The second most common given name (considering most of the descendants were through daughters) was "Harris". As many will know (including yourself), this fact does not automatically guarantee an Overton connection. Even so, I, too, would be interested to see the Overton data you have (to supplement my own). Whether or not all or any of these various Harris families were genetically related to the Overtons of England, one thing at least is clear--they were all of them proud of the name, and wished to claim a relationship to them! Thanks again for all your selfless, dedicated work on behalf of us all. T.J. White
