    3. again, this same wilkins family re richard wilkins involved with christopher harris in granville co, nc was the same richard wilkins/ rebecca twitty, who had also been in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va and, again, not only was this the same wilkins family also involved with my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william harris/ judith hudson but by marriage, this was the same/ related twitty family re my mary wynne wyatt twitty.   this was my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who in 1746 in lunenburg co, va had the agreement with william marable re the plantation, finneywood.     again, a suit followed re my william harris, sr/ frances goode with william marable and my mackerness goode, sr in his deposition mentions that a wilkins had been the prior overseer for william marable.   MACKERNESS GOODE   The Deponent in ye other side further Saith that according to ye Plaintiff's desire in the year  45/6  he see measured & lofted (?) on ye said Plaintif Plantation Eighteen barrells of Indian Corn or there abouts, that was a crop of the lat Overseer Wilkins & this Deponent further saith that ye Defendant soon after mov’d to ye said house with his Wife and four Negroes, further Saith not.   also, thomas wilkins witnessed this deed re william harris/ judith hudson.   lunenburg co, va deed book 4, page 303, 1756, william harris of lunenburg co, va to david halliburton of same for 30 pds, 168 acres on the lower side of the little bluestone creek bounded by william harris' upper lines. signed william harris. witnesses:  richard palmer; william hunt;  thomas wilkins.  judith, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower. again, this richard palmer, who also witnessed this deed re william harris/ judith hudson and who had also witnessed a lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va deed re my william harris, sr/ frances goode, was also involved with our david harris/ jane landy richardson and our harris family on cubb creek in louisa co, va per info i have posted in the past.   these connections re richard palmer are a lot more involved also period.  i will not go into or repeat all of this again, but richard palmer and thomas satterwhite also witnessed abraham cook, jr's 1748 lunenburg co, va will.   per info i also recently cited, this is indicated to have been our captain thomas harris' family, who had patents near abraham cook, jr there also in hanover co, va.   this was the same satterwhite family also of lunenburg co, va involved with the families there in granville co, nc and also the same satterwhite family, who also moved to laurens/ newberry cos, sc.   in fact, joseph davenport, again, with connections also with the lunenburg co, va families, was the father-in-law of our samuel goode, also son of my mackerness goode, sr and also of bartlett satterwhite.   joseph davenport moved from granville co, nc to newberry co, sc where he died there in 1791 naming in his will our samuel goode and bartlett satterwhite as his son-in-laws.       also re the  ca 1770 laurens co, sc grants i have posted in the past re my harris; goode; and cargills, joseph davenport paid the tax/ memorial re my mackerness goode, sr's 100 acre grant, which, again, per a laurens co, sc deed also cited previously, became the property of our samuel goode.   memorial by mackerness goode, sr, in berkley co on waters of little river....certified 6 feb 1771 and granted 12 april 1771; quit rent to commence in 2 years.  signed 13 may 1771 by joseph davenport, delivered 7 oct 1773.  john caldwell,  d.s.    laurens co, sc deed book C, page 193, 1789, samuel goode, gentleman, to richard shackleford, pastor of the baptist chuch, for 100 pds, 100 acres on the little river, original grant 4/ 12/ 1771 to mackerness goode, sr, who died intestate and samuel goode, his heir at law. witnesses:  joseph cox; francis brooks; alexander stewart.  silvanus walker, j.p.   info on joseph davenport can be found on line and i am going to quote from that site:   17 may 1791: probate of the estate of joseph davenport late of newberry co, sc by warrant of appraisement filed by starling dixon; robert gilliam; and alexander mckie. ( newberry co, sc estates, box 355, pkg, 38 )   5 august 1788 probate last will of joseph davenport probated 16 may 1791:  named daughter rebecca davenport to have 200 acres where she lives......jemimah satterwhite, daughter of bartlett satterwhite and rebecca satterwhite to have negro girl, annakey;  granddaughters: edna goode and jemimah goode, daughters of samuel goode and jemimah goode, to have negroes, dina and silva when jemimah goode reaches the age of 16........( newberry co, sc wills A: 112 )   again, joseph davenport moved from granville co, nc but the following lunenburg co, va deed shows that joseph davenport also had connections to lunenburg co, va and to the mitchell family, etc, there.     lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 353, 1759, michael satterwhite and wife, amey, of granville co, nc to edmund taylor of lunenburg for 850 pds, 1, 397 acres in lunenburg on roanoke river bounded by james lewis; james mitchell; james robinson.  witnesses:  david mitchell; joseph davenport; reuben morse.   also this lunenburg co, va deed connects joseph davenport; edmund taylor; james mitchell with john robinson, sr and jr:   lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 231, 1758, john robinson, the elder, and wife, mary, and john robinson, jr, wife, elizabeth, of lunenburg co, va to james lewis of albemarle co, va for 640 pds, two tracts in lunenburg co, va of about 470 acres, that 1st tract bounded by thomas estlash (?) on the north side of the roanoke river; the other tract bounded by the south side of the river, gillian; captain james mitchell, both tracts containing 476 acres.  signed:  john robinson, mary, her mark, robinson; john robinson, jr; elizabeth, her mark, robinson.  witnesses:  james mitchell; edmund taylor; joseph davenport.   lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 372, 1759, james mitchell of granville co, nc to edmund taylor of lunenburg co, va for 150 pds, 829 acres in lunenburg in two different tracts:  the 1st tract is bounded by michael satterwhite; nat robinson; 404 acres;  2nd tract is bounded by where robinson's line crosses the old mill creek, the county line, buzbee, new lines, old line.  signed:  david mitchell; joseph davenport, michael satterwhite.   to be continued:   belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8--------26910
