William Cook of Granville County, NC to Robert Harris, esquire [residence not stated], 21 January 1780, for 1000 pounds current money, one certain tract piece or parcel of land containing 640 acres, be the same more or less, which land was surveyed by Thomas Grant Deputy Surveyor of Thomas Person, esquire, Surveyor of said country, on the South side of Adcock';s Creek; Beginning on the South side of said Creek at a Hickory, thence South 320 poles to a corner in William Hewit line, his line thence West 340 pole to a corner tree, thence North to Holestions his line, thence along his line to his corner, thence North to Adcock's Creek, thence down the Creek to the first station.
