Harris At a Court Continued and held for Louisa County Tuesday the 14th day of November 1797 In Chancery James Harris **one of the children and distributees of Edward Harris deceased - Complainant against William Cook & Overton Harris administrators of Edward Harris deceased and Sally Harris, Peter Harris, Mary Harris & Lancelot Harris infant children & legatees of Edward Harris decd by Robert Harris, Jr. their guardian - Respondants Bill and answer filed and On hearing; It is decreed and ordered that George _unison(?) Charles Barrett, John Smith DS and Nelson Thompson of whom any three may act do divide the estate of Edward Harris deceased amongst the distributees according to law, and the prayer of the complainants bill. And that on the Distributees giving bond & good security to the administrators of the said decedants estate, that they will refund their proportionate part in case debts should come against the said estate which at present they know not of. That then the administrators do deliver to the respective legatees their proportionable part of the said estate to be allotted by the said Commissioners. And that the said administrators do on oath make up an account of their administration on the decedants estate before the above named Gentlemen to whom it is refered to examine, State and Settle the same and that they make report to Court of their proceedings in both cases in order to a final decree.
