It seems as though our Harris lines are intertwined in Alabama much like they seem to be in Virginia, and very difficult to untangle them. Oh well, just a part of the genealogical research. It seems like our ancestors must have known each other, though not closely related. Maybe the Harris name just naturally brought them together. It is all very puzzling indeed. I don't think Bill Harris and Robert Harris are closely related and the Most Recent Common Ancestor may actually be in early Virginia. As you know, Bill Harris lines are traced so far from Alabama back to Georgia. On the other hand, the Robert Harris line traces from Tennessee back to Patrick and Halifax Counties in Virginia, which is what Pat Seaver and Sandy Hart are working on at the present time. The Bill Harris line may be closer to the Pat Seaver (Harris) line than my own Harris line, although we both seem to have branches of our lines in Georgia. I am sure we will work it out eventually.
