again, i have posted my interest in these connections in the past. per this info posted by pat clare/ pat mason harris re this 1735 hanover co, va processioning record re this richard harris and william harris, etc, again, these were the same robert wade, sr and ralph hunt, who also either moved to or also had connections to lunenburg/ halifax co, va. 1735: William Harris processioned with Daniel Patrick; Watson; Joyner; Cook; Hudson; John Wingfield; Watson and Cornelius Tinsley. Peter Garland and Ralph Hunt appeared for Mr Robert Wade who represented Mr William Brd, esq and Peter Marks and William Jennings for William Alsop and Mr Richard Harris;***** Mr George Vaughan; and Mr John Ragland did not appear though lawfully warned. 1739: Richard Harris ****in one precint with George Vaughan; Widow Fraser; John Joyner; Benjamin Alsop; Martin Baker; Anthony Winston's orphans; Richard Harris' orphans; Barbara Winston; Anthony Waddy, precinct. memucan hunt, son of this same ralph hunt, married mary wade, daughter of this same robert wade, sr, who were named in this hanover co, va 1735 processioning record with this william harris and richard harris. this is the same memucan hunt/ mary wade, who had a patent in lunenburg co, va with samuel harris, which was in this same bluestone creek area of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va where my william harris, sr/ frances goode; william harris/ judith hudson; and my goode family also owned land and lived. in fact, and, again, this land patented by memucan hunt and samuel harris bordered on john wilborn's corner and, again, both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william harris/ judith hudson were involved with the will and estate of john wilborn from 1757-1762 there in lunenburg co, va. this is indicated to be the same samuel harris, who william harris/ judith hudson sold land to in 1749/ 1750 in lunenburg co, va and, per another lunenburg co, va deed, to also be the same samuel harris involved with my william harris, sr/ frances goode; the same samuel harris, who continued to be involved with john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley in this halifax co, va area; the same samuel harris, i believe, who married lucy camp and who became col samuel harris and the noted baptist minister rev samuel harris and who, again, stated that he was born in 1724 near the pamunkey river in hanover co, va. samuel harris was also the executor of the estate of this adlar david, who died in 1749/ 1750 in this lunenburg/ halifax co, va area. either peter hudson, sr or jr was, also, as i have posted in the past, involved with the appraisal of the estate of this adlar david. per a lunenburg co, va deed, samuel harris sold land to robert wade, sr, which had belonged to adlar david on difficult creek, which was adjacent william irby. this was the same william irby, who, per a brunswick co, va deed, sold land to andrew wade, sr of goochland co, va, which was witnessed by richard brown and william harris and it is this william harris, who i believe was william harris/ judith hudson. andrew wade, sr remarried susannah tinsley, said to have been a chiles, and who was the mother of rachel tinsley cargill, wife of john cargill, sr. again, samuel harris not only continued to be involved with john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley in this same halifax co, va area, but, again, john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley also moved by 1770 to this same little river area of laurens co, sc where my william harris, sr/ frances goode; my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers; my mackerness goode, sr and his son, our mackerness goode, jr had obtained these ca 1770 laurens co, sc grants. again, a tax or memorial had to be paid in charleston on these grants. our mackerness goode, jr paid the tax/ memorial for cornelius cargill, who was the son of john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley and cornelius cargill also paid the tax/ memorial for my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers 150-acre 1772 grant. also my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers and his uncle samuel goode paid the security, along with cornelius cargill's wife, sarah, for cornelius cargill when he died ca 1780 in this laurens/ 96th dist, sc area. all of this i have posted in the past a number of times. again, also the same richard ellis, who witnessed the lunenburg co, va deed re samuel harris to robert wade, sr also witnessed the 1761 lunenburg co, va deed re john and robert gilliam to our edward harris, sr, whose sons stephen harris and edward harris, jr also moved to laurens co, sc and whose descendants are a match with my brother david harris and who are also part of our harris dna group 8. lunenburg co, va deed book 5, page 346, robert wade buys land from samuel harris, executor of the estate of adlar david, decd, of lunenburg co, va, being daniel jagger's patent of 1742 and by him willed to david and richard powell, jr who sold the land to adlar david, 100 acres north of difficult creek and south of stanton river, on a line of a tree planted by william irby and adler david, 1749, 1750. wit: hampton wade; richard ellis. LUNENBURG COUNTY RECORDS DEED BOOK #7, PAGE 27 "Whereas, Hugh Miller, Apr. 21, 1755 sold to John Gilliam, 1588 acres of land lying in Lunenburg County on both sides of Twitty's Creek. It is coventanted that the said John Gilliam do lay off and convey unto Edward Harris when thereto required by good and Lawful Deed at the said Harris costs, 400 acres of the above tract of 1588 acres including and adjoining the Plantation whereupon the said Edward Harris now lives, in fee simple the estate of in and to the said 1588 acres of land with like proviso and conditions. Now the said Robert Gilliam sells to Edward Harris of Lunenburg County the said 400 acres aforementioned lying on both sides of Twitty's Creek, etc. Witnesses, Henry Isbell, William Gilliam; Richard Ellis. so far, we have not been able to find definitive harris descendants of william harris/ judith hudson or this samuel harris. to be continued: belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8-----26910
