again, pat seaver, sandy harris, james hargraves, bill harris and i share an uncanny interest in our respective harris familes and these same families not just in this same lunenburg/ halifax cos, va area, but also much later in cleburne co, al, etc.   i also noted this was even more involved when i began to study more about  this redding blocker, who was enumerated  adjacent my arch harris/ elizabeth carter per this 1834 cobb co, ga state census.   to sum up, as i have a lot to post in regard to this.  per the info, redding blocker was the son of michael blocker/ rosannah griffin, who died in edgefield co, sc and her father william griffin died in 1800 in pendleton co, sc.   her father william griffin's 1st wife, and mother of rosannah griffin blocker, was sarah kirksey, daughter of this edward kirksey and rebeccah rickman, daughter of this thomas rickman who died in 1761 in halifax co, va.   this, as shown, per the halifax co, va deeds posted by pat seaver, was the same rickman family involved also there in halifax co, va with this william harris, wife, elizabeth, who she believes was their william harris, who had moved there from amelia co, va.   so, again, how interesting and involved all of this is re our interest in our harris families and these same families.   again, as shown, per this 1834 ga state census for  cobb co, ga, my archibald harris/ elizabeth carter was  enumerated in-between redding blocker and this ester/  esther harris, who i have never been able to identify.   per the info both redding blocker's 1st and 2nd wives are said  to have been harrises, probably sisters, and that redding blocker was the son of michael blocker/ rosannah griffin of edgefield co, sc and that this was her father william griffin, who died in 1800 in pendleton co, sc.   one of the things i recently posted, but will not repost for now, is that michael blocker and daniel mckie, jr were purchasers at ellis palmer's 1800 edgefield co, sc estate sale.   again, ellis palmer was the brother-in-law of our simcock  cannon/ jane rudd, father of our richard cannon/ elizabeth cole  and grandfather of our jane cannon harris.   in regard to our charles harris/ jane cannon and daniel mckie, sr, again, per laurens co, sc deeds i have also posted in the past, land that had belonged to our charles harris/ jane cannon later belonged to daniel mckie, sr and this was the same land that had involved a suit with thomas burton, son of james burton, sr of lunenburg co, va.   again, this was thomas burton's sister agnes burton, who married in lunenburg co, va james hudson, son of peter hudson, sr.   again, i am thinking that there must be answers as to why we would  have such an involved, mutual interest re our harris families and these same families in these same areas.   i do not know the answers to this now but i am going to post, though, what i have noted further in regard to these connections and, hopefully, one of these days we can learn why and figure this out.   to be continued:   belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8-------26910
