    3. My line is supposedly off the harris/baker/burnett lines.  Moses Harris was reportedly a son of William Harris and Henerietta Baker. Moses' daughter Rebecca married a Thomas Bibb.  Moses died in 1813 in Orange Co., VA.  It will be interesting to see how this comes out.  My grandmother was a Harris so DNA is not a source I can use.  We have done the test on the mother's side.  Please let me know if I can provide anything on this line. --- On Sat, 11/29/08, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [HARRIS-HUNTERS] re william harris/ henrietta baker/ william harris/ eliz... (Rosalie Edith Davis, LOUISA COUNTY, VIRGINIA DEED BOOKS A AND B, 1742-1759 [Bellingham, WA: Published by author, 1976], p. 142) This deed walks and talks like a Group 8 Harris, but it is very difficult to sort out the apparent multiple Henrietta Harrises. The William Harris who went to Mercer KY and who left a widow in 1793 is often said to be this William Harris above, but that William Harris had daughters under 16 in 1793, which is not a possibility for a Henrietta Baker born to fit a William Harris born as early as William Harris/Henrietta Baker needs to be.(ca 1715-1722?) In the name of God Amen: I******************* William Harris desires this writing to be taken and received as my last will and Testament. Maybe someone can check the Malcolm Harris works for the recipients of the division of the 1500 acres and we can look at them again. Everyone assumes the names belong to Group 6, but with the multiple use of common names, another look is probably needed. Two families with links to Group 8 have an oral tradition that they come from William Harris/Henrietta Baker, and it has to be an earlier Wm Harris than the one who died on the way to Mercer KY as descibed by Malcolm Harris. **************Life should be easier.
