E.W. Wallace, The reason why I asked about Joel Harris is the only person who matches my son's "John Harris"DNA. b 1780, is a descendant of a Joel Harris born in 1794 in KY. They match 64 out of 67 markers, group 17.so there is not any doubt they are pretty closely related. I feel they are probably brothers, but neither the man who entered his DNA nor I have been able to find their parents. My son's John Harris's tomb stone in Richmond, Madison, KY, gives his birth as 28 Nov 1780 and death 13 Aug 1849 in Richmond, Madison, KY. As we genealogist know, sometimes you have to follow a sibling to find the right family. We have talked about John before, but I thought I would put it out there just in case someone else might see a connection. I hope you have a great holliday. We do not know the identity of Lucy Harris II, who married William Jones 1 Feb 1790, Madison Co., KY, Christopher Harris, bondsman. There is no doubt a relationship, but we do not know what it is. Refer to Christopher's will which does not mention a Lucy Jones as a daughter. We believe the bondsman is the younger Christopher Harris, as the elder Christopher was now deceased.
