Thomas Starke, George Payne again, this william harris' association with the rice family;  the depriest family; the cawthon family; george alvis, etc, in hanover co, va, per the processioning records, leads me to think that this william harris was related harris family.   however, my william harris/ judith hudson of brunswick/ lunenburg/ mecklenburg cos, va and this william harris/ mary of louisa and goochland cos, va could not both be the sons, william, of our william harris/ mary giles.   so, the only way that this william harris of louisa/ goochland co, va could also be related to us and also be a descendant of our captain thomas harris' harris line and family is that this william harris of hanover/ louisa/ goochland cos, va was the son of edward harris, brother of our william harris/ mary giles.   we have no dna, so far, from any descendant of this william harris of louisa/ goochland co, va to say for sure whether he was related to our harris dna group 8 or not?   again, my william harris/ judith hudson and my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who were in brunswick/ lunenburg co, va by 1743/ 1746 and  this william harris of hanover/ louisa/ goochland cos, va was not the same william harris/ henrietta, in 1759 in louisa co, va  who sold this land to martin baker and who is shown/ stated to have been the son of this william harris, who obtained these 1500 acres in 1725 and who is stated to have been william harris, jr, son of captain william harris/ temperance overton.   carol, was your post just to me or was it also on harris hunters?   i cannot say if our william harris/ mary giles had other wives other than his wife, mary, per this 1694 new kent co, va deed, but i would have problems in trying to figure that all these william harrises i.e. my william harris/ judith hudson; william harris of louisa/ goochland; william harris, jr, per 1725, 1500 acre-grant, with dates of birth being, seemingly, all about the same time as being sons, william, of our william harris/ mary giles.   again, also, there are the participants of harris dna group 6, who say that they are descending from captain william harris/ temperance overton and his son, this william harris, jr.       belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8------26910
