There has always been speculation that Jesse Harris was a son of William Harris/Henrietta Baker but I have seen no concrete proof of that. In a deed from Rowan Co., NC for a Augustine Davenport and wife Mary Harris, a note was added that a Jesse Harris came from Louisa Co., VA to Rowan Co., NC with Augustine and Mary Davenport.
