Since there seems to be so much increased activity on this list at the moment, I will throw in my brick wall, again !  Levi Harris born about 1805, possibly in NC Married Dorothy Bozeman, daughter of Luke Bozeman Sr and Elizabeth Betsy Ward in Jefferson County Territory of Florida, December 29, 1831. A Levi Harris bought 40 Acres of land in Jefferson County, FL  Oct 2,1835. He apparently bought another 40 Aug 21 1832 . A Levi Harris was on the Grand Jury dated Nov 26 1832 According to History of Jefferson Coungy by Shofner page 48 In 1830 Levi Harris was elected Captain of all the Infantry Companies in Jefferson County. I am searching for the names of Levi's parents, date and place of death. There is a Levi Harris on the Georgia death index, born 1861-62, died in Terrell CountyGA March 15 1925. This is not the Levi I seek as he is listed as "Negro". I will appreciate any and all info regarding Levi Harris's parentage and date and place of death for him and for Dorothy Bozeman Harris.
