to continue with these brunswick/ louisa co, va deeds re my william harris/ judith hudson to stephen harris and also re edward harris to this other william harris/ mary also of louisa/ goochland co, va, again, these deeds are written in a distinct, florid style and it also shows that the same person who wrote the deeds also signed these deeds, although seals were also used. this is also very important because, again, our edward harris there in louisa co, va's wife was named ann, which i have just shown, per the previous louisa co, va deed, re edward harris, ann, to william watkins. page 369-70. Jan 5, 1749/50. Ed. HARRIS of Louisa CO and wife Anne to Wm. WATKINS of Hanover CO, 80 lbs, 150 ac and plantation on Cub Creek. Wm. HARRIS' corner, prt of 400 a grant to wm. SNEAD, Isreal SNEAD, 3/27/1750 proven. again, there is still the question/ issue whether this edward harris/ ann there in louisa co, va was the same edward harris, ann, who was also in lunenburg/ charlotte co, va and i am going to re-post this post by pat clare/ pat mason harris and myself also talking about this. it would seem to me that we need, as pat says here, to get an actual copy of this 1766 charlotte co, va deed to see whether edward harris did sign this deed OR maybe one has to come to the conclusion that things cannot be determined if someone is the same person whether someone signed a deed or not because some times they may have actually signed deeds and other times not. we also have a limited number of choices as to who this edward harris, wife, ann, was also in lunenburg/ charlotte co, va and whose harris descendants are also a harris dna match with our harris dna group 8. again, he is either has to be the same edward harris, who was the son of our william harris/ mary giles who was also there in louisa co, va and who, like his brother, my william harris/ judith hudson, moved to lunenburg co, va or this edward harris has to be the son of our william harris/ mary giles' brother, edward harris. these are the only two choices we have as to who this edward harris/ ann was in lunenburg/ charlotte co, va. since, again, as pat talks about here, this was our willam harris/ mary giles' brother, edward harris and/ or his harris family in amelia/ prince edward co, va, the info, per these records, and logic itself would certainly seem to say and show that this was my william harris/ judith hudson's brother, edward harris/ ann, who had followed him there also to lunenburg co, va. again, both decendants of edward harris of amelia co, va and of edward harris of lunenburg/ charlotte co, va are a harris dna group 8 match with us but, again, it was also edward harris, sr of lunenburg/ charlotte co, va whose sons stephen harris and edward harris, jr, who, again, also, like my harris and goode family, also moved to laurens co, sc. The descendants of that William are testing to Group 8 DNA. Edward Harris of Louisa had a wife Ann, and he lived in the traditional area given to Group 8 on Cub Creek. He sells out in 1749 in the part of Louisa that was Cub Creek, and by 1751, an Edward Harris is in Lunenburg. The one there has a wife Ann and lives on Reece's Fork of Twitty's Creek, with proven Group 8 descendants. Davis, Rosalie E. Louisa County, Virginia Deed Books A-B. Whoever he is, he has Group 8 descendants. The other Edward Harris who is testing Group 8 lived on both sides of Harris Creek off the Appomatox River in now Prince Edward, formerly Amelia, VA near Abraham Venable and died ca 1747. According to the donor information, that Edward Harris was the one born ca 1675 married to his last wife, Unity. That family through the son Nathaniel Harris went to Rockingham/Orange NC and can be followed. Other parts of that family went to the area of Lexington, KY. to be continued: belva harris cauthenharris dna group 8--------26910
