    2. again, this is indicated to have been the same thomas stark and this richard palmer also involved with our related david harris/ jane landy richardson per this info also in louisa co, va.   again, this same richard palmer involved with our related david harris/ jane landy richardson in louisa co, va  also moved to lunenburg co, va and, again, as i have posted previously, this same richard palmer witnessed lunenburg co, va deed re both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and my william harris/ judith hudson.    this was christopher hudson, son of john and elizabeth harris hudson, who sold land to richard palmer there early in lunenburg co, va and per lunenburg co, va deeds i have cited previously but, again, will re-cite, richard palmer witnessed lunenburg co, va deeds re both my william harris/ judith hudson and my william harris, sr/ frances goode.   Louisa Co. Court 25th Jun 1745, p. 158 - Richard Richardson  against David Harris In Detinue: This day came the parties by their attorneys and thereupon came also a jury to wit: Alexander Freeman, Thomas Poindexter, John Hill, Richard Palmer, Richard Yancey, Griffith Dickinson, Thomas Starke, James Tate, John Davis, William Brown, William Davis, and Christopher Sheperd who being elected tried and sworn the truth to speak upon the issue joined brought in a special verdict which is admitted to record and the matter of law in the said verdict if referred for arguing till the next court.   this was also richard palmer's widow, who remarried peter akin  and they leased richard palmer's land to matthew burt, who moved, like my goode family and james hall, to edgefield co, sc.   these were matthew burt's sons phillip burt and robert burt, who witnessed james hall's 1794 edgefield co, sc will and this was my william harris, sr/ frances goode, who, per a 1765 mecklenburg co, va deed, sold land to this same james hall.   this was james hall's daughter, sarah hall, who married richard winn and who had stayed in mecklenburg co, va and he was the same richard winn, who was also involved with my judith hudson harris' 1796/ 1798 meckleburg co, va estate.   here, again, are the lunenburg co, va deeds which involve this same richard palmer, again, who was involved with our related david harris/ jane landy richardson in louisa co, va  with both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and my william harris/ judith hudson also there in lunenburg co, va.     lunenburg co, va deed book 4, page 303, 1756, william harris of lunenburg co, va to david halliburton of same for 30 pds, 168 acres on the lower side of the little bluestone creek bounded by william harris' upper lines. signed william harris. witnesses:  richard palmer; william hunt;  thomas wilkins.  judith, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower. in fact, it was this same william hunt, who witnessed this lunenburg co, va deed re my william harris/ judith hudson to david halliburton, who, per the following deed, was the same william hunt my william harris, sr/ frances goode sold this land to in this middle fork of the middle bluestone creek area.     lunenburg co, va deed book 4, page 315, 1755, william harris to william hunt both of lunenburg co, va 236 acres on both sides of the middle fork of the bluestone creek bounded by the mouth of a branch called the swamp. signed william harris. witnesses:  adam winders; robert wooding; richard palmer. again, my william harris, sr/ frances goode are stated, per these lunenburg co, va deeds and patents, to have lived in this middle fork of the middle bluestone creek area where he is shown to have consistently sold and purchased land there.   here, again, also is the mecklenburg co, va deed wherein my william harris, sr/ frances goode also sold land to james hall which, again, was in this same middle fork of the middle bluestone creek area.    again,  this was the same james hall who moved to and died in edgefield co, sc.   mecklenburg co, va deed book 1, page 14, 1765, william harris of mecklenburg to james hall of same for 15 pds, 30 acres on the south side of the middle fork of the bluestone creek, being part of a larger patent to william harris on the sawpitt branch and bounded by james hall.  witnesses:  jeremiah glenn; john marable; micajah smithson.    ( this jeremiah glenn there in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va married anna blagrave and also moved to laurens co, sc.  laurens co, sc deeds connect his son william glenn also with my charles harris there in laurens co, sc. )   again richard palmer's widow, grissell, remarried peter akin and they leased richard palmer's land to matthew burt.     Peter and Grissell Aiken leased “Palmer’s Dwelling Plantation” to Matthew Burt for the term of 7 years 25 October 1766.   again, this was the same matthew burt who also moved to edgefield co, sc and these were his sons, phillip burt and robert burt, who witnessed james hall's 1794 edgefield co, sc will.     Edgefield District, SC Will Book, 1787-1836: "9 Dec 1794. I, James HALL, of Turkey Creek, being well in years and weak in body but of sound mind and memory. I lend to my beloved wife Martha HALL during her natural life if she remains a widow seven Negroes to wit: Sam, Frank, Hannah, John, Patt, Catto, Selvia & her child Delila but if she marry she to have Hannah only, with the others to be divided amongst my children: William, John, Thomas, James, Armstead, Lucy, & Prudence HALL, also my wife to have possession of the land whereon I now live during her life & at her death my son Thomas HALL shall possess all the land on the South side of Turkey Creek with the 220 acres on the waters of Little Turkey Creek and my son Armstead HALL to have all my land on the West side of Turkey Creek. I leave all my furniture to my wife forever to give or dispose of as she thinks proper, likewise all my stock of cattle, hoggs, & sheep with four horses, viz: Buck, Goleah, Paul & Jenny. I give to my son William HALL one Negro man named Bob. I give to my son John one Negro named Adam. I give to my son Thomas one Negro named Lewis & one bay mare called Jolly. I give to my son James one Negro named Peter and one young mare called Clips & I order & allow L60 sterling to be raised from my estate to buy a tract of land for my son James HALL. I give to my son Armstead HALL one Negro named Daniel. I give to my dtr. Anne HOLLOWAY two Negroes named George & Lucy. I give to my dtr. Sarah WINN two Negroes named Charles & Jude. I give to my dtr. Amey HALL two Negroes named Edith & Nancy. I give to my dtr. Lucy HALL one Negro girl named Kizzy. I give to my dtr. Prudence HALL one Negro named Mary. I appoint my sons William & Thomas HALL as executors. Wit: Eugene BRENAN, Robert BURT & Philip BURT. Signed: James HALL. Proved by the oath of Eugene BRENAN & Robert BURT in the Oct Term 1795 & ordered to record." Source: Genealogical Abstracts of Edgefield Equity Court Records: "William HALL vs Richard WINN. Mary SNEAD et al vs Jane COBB & others. Mary HART, Cecilia HART, Claiborne.(no second page)."
