carol    i was  in a rush yesterday and did not read as clearly as i should have your post on this wilminton harris.  i have also not followed your interest in this wilminton harris and i should have also gone back and  re-read your other posts in regard to him.    i apologize.  i have now done this and i still have some things to say and to point out.   again, this was still my both my william harris, sr/ frances goode, william harris/ judith hudson, as well as james harris, who were all involved with this same crowder family in lunenburg/ mecklenburg cos, va and who were also the same crowder family, etc, involved with thomas hood, who was also involved with this wilminton harris there in amelia co, va.   as i have renoted, though, your info itself states that there was both a william harris and a wilminton harris, said to be sons of this timothy harris/ elizabeth womack.   per the info, it was this william harris, son of timothy harris, who married frances, daughter of this thomas hood, and, in going back and re- checking your previous posts, and i agree, his brother, this wilminton harris is indicated to have married joan/ joannah, widow of this daniel hix .   Goochland Co, VA Wills and Deeds 1728-1736 by Benjamin B. Williams, Henry Holman, Wilminton (x) Harris, sig Daniel Hix   in regard, however, to the sherwood harrises, again, the info on them seems to be very confused and confusing.   as i posted recently, dolores rutherford, per her interest in her page family, has been very interested in sherwood harris/ hannah page, who she says were married in 1761 in goochland co, va.   she said that there were NO goochland co, va deeds for this sherwood harris/ hannah page and that he did not appear on any of the goochland co, va tithe lists.   she also said that there was an older sherwood harris, who was there in goochland co, va and who was the same sherwood harris, who moved to and died in granville co, nc in 1763.   this is shown/ indicated to have been the sherwood harris, who married jane hudspeth.      this is also indicated, then, to have been the same sherwood harris on this 1752 goochland co, va tithe list with wilminton harris and NOT sherwood harris/ hannah page.   in fact, if you look at this 1752 goochland co, va tithe list, it shows that  this older sherwood harris and wilminton harris were in james holman's district, whereas william harris and this gilliam harris, indicated to have been his son, were in thomas stark's district.   it is also sherwood harris/ hannah page, who is indicated to have also been the son of this william harris, per deeds or info i have cited previously and this william harris was married to a mary.   so, again, this william harris/ mary, is definitely not the  wiliam harris, brother of this wilminton harris.    again, the william harris, brother of wilminton harris,  is shown/ stated to have been the william harris, who married frances hood, daughter of this thomas hood, who died in amelia co, va.   here, as i say, is into from the 1752 goochland co, va tithe lists showing that this older sherwood harris and wilminton harris were in james holman's district but william harris; gilliam harris and this john cawthon, who is stated to have married agnes harris, daughter of this william harris, were in thomas stark's district.   per the info, to follow, which, again, i posted previously, this same thomas stark and sherwood harris/ hannah page proved a deed wherein william page sold land back to his father, john page, sr.   this thomas stark was also further involved with this william harris and this gilliam harris, indicated to be his son.   again, both this gilliam harris and this sherwood harris, who married hannah page, are indicated/ shown to have been sons of this william harris, wife, mary, of goochland co, va and not my william harris/ judith hudson, who were in brunswick/ lunenburg co, va by 1743/ 1746.   1752  List of James Holman         Sherwood Harris 1   near         Rene Laforce         William Ford         Thomas Ford         Wilminton Harris              List of Thomas Starke         William Harris  next to         John Cawthon         William Manly   near         Gillum Harris   to be continued:   belva harris cauthen harris dna group 8------26910
